This policy explains how MTD Labs LLC, a Florida limited liability company (referred to here as "MTD Labs," "we," or "us"), handles information in two situations: (1) when you contact us about a project, and (2) when we build or operate an AI agent for a business and that agent handles data on the business's behalf. In short: we collect only what is needed to respond to you and run our services, and we do not sell it.
When you use the inquiry form or contact us, we collect:
If we continue in a ticket, by email, or on a call, we also receive whatever you choose to share to scope and deliver your project.
When we build or operate an AI agent (chat or voice) for a business, that agent may process information from that business's own customers - for example messages, call audio and recordings, names, phone numbers, and appointment or order details. MTD Labs processes this information as a service provider on the client's behalf, only to operate, support, and improve that client's agent. The client business owns that data and is responsible for its own privacy notices to its customers.
Where a voice agent records calls, it announces at the start of each call that the call may be recorded and gives the caller a chance to decline by hanging up before recording begins. Recordings are used to operate, troubleshoot, and improve the agent, and are kept only as long as needed for those purposes or as the client agreement specifies. The client business remains responsible for any additional notice or consent its jurisdiction requires.
To respond to your inquiry, scope and deliver your project, operate and support your services, process payment, and improve how our agents and tools work. That is the entire purpose.
Running our services requires trusted third parties that process data on our behalf, including AI model providers, telephony and messaging providers (for voice and chat agents), hosting providers, and payment processors. They handle data only to provide their part of the service and are governed by their own privacy policies.
Payments are handled by third-party processors (PayPal, Stripe, Ko-fi, Venmo). They receive the payment details directly - MTD Labs never sees or stores your card numbers.
Inquiry and order records (what was ordered, amounts, and dates) are kept for business and tax purposes. Data handled by client agents, including recordings, is retained per the client agreement and then deleted. We do not keep data longer than we need it.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the service, or where required by law.
We take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold and limit access to what is needed to deliver and support your services. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat your data and your customers' data with care. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify affected people and any authorities as required by applicable law.
You can ask us to delete the information from your inquiry or project at any time, except where we are required to keep certain records (such as completed-order and tax history). Depending on where you live (including California and other US states with privacy laws), you may also have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you and to know how it is used. We do not sell or share your personal information for advertising. To make a request, contact us using the details below and we will respond as required by law. If you are a customer of a business that uses one of our agents, please contact that business directly about its records - it controls that data.
Our website does not use tracking or advertising cookies or third-party analytics. Our hosting does keep basic technical logs - such as IP address, browser type, pages requested, and time of access - that are needed to operate and secure the site; we use these only for security and troubleshooting, not to track you across other sites. Our services are intended for businesses and adults and are not directed to children under 13.
If you provide a mobile number and check the SMS consent box on our contact form, you agree to receive text messages from MTD Labs at that number - such as replies to your inquiry, project updates, quotes, and appointment reminders. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help or STOP to unsubscribe at any time; opting out stops further messages. We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile number or SMS consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing. Your mobile information is used only to send the messages you requested and is shared only with the messaging providers (such as Twilio) needed to deliver them. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes take effect when posted here, with the "last updated" date revised.
